As was mentioned at the beginning of this section, comments can also be defined for items. This was implemented in entrée as way of printing a warning on invoices that had hazardous materials being delivered, as required by U.S. government regulations. However, this method could be used with any item you may sell.

 

Comments are attached to an item by inserting the Comment ID in the Corrosive Hazard Comment field on the Misc1 Tab of Inventory File Maintenance.

 

 

 

You may be carrying a new line of chicken breasts fillets that would be less expensive for your customers to buy and give you a higher gross profit. You could attach a comment promoting this new item to your existing line of breast fillets. Therefore any customer purchasing breast fillets would have this special comment printed on their invoice.
