The entrée system will save key values, that are comprised of complex calculations to the data files for a more efficient means of data retrieval. Values such as allocations, can be displayed much quicker if the value is read from a single field as opposed to scanning the entire invoice detail file to tally the total. As data is written out to the database, these key fields will be updated accordingly.

 

Occasionally there may arise a time when the stored values become out of sync with the actual data value. For these rare occurrences, the recalculate utilities will scan the database to synchronize the stored values with the actual values. This section will provide an overview of the Customer recalculate utilities in the entrée system.
