The Cost /Price Update options tab was added to Personal Settings in version 4 to further organize the options available for personalization. Here you can control the default actions for the Cost/Price Update Utility (located in the Inventory ribbon menu Inventory Utilities section Cost/Price Utilities  drop down menu).

 

 

Cost/Price Update System

These options determine the default settings of the Cost Change Application options when using the Cost/Price Update utility.

 

These settings only control the state of the options when entering the cost/price update utility.

They may be changed in the update window and the new settings will be used for that session only.

 

Select one from these three options:

 

 

Yes

The corresponding option will be enabled in the cost/price update utility.

No

The corresponding option will not be enabled in the cost/price update utility.

Ask Me

The corresponding option will be in an unknown state when running the cost/price update utility. The user will be forced to select the desired method every time a cost/price update operation is performed if this option is selected.

This is the default value for all until you make a selection.
