1.Click the Import button located in the lower left corner of the Select Image... dialog. This will open the Import Image dialog.

 

2.Select the desired Image Type for the image that is being imported.

 

Options: Item, Class, Customer, Manufacturer, and Brand.

 

 

3.Enter up to 30 characters to describe the image in the Description field.

 

The value typed in this field will be displayed in the Description column of the Images Grid when assigning images to items, classes, customers and manufacturers.

 

4.   At the bottom of the Import Image dialog is the image preview area. When the mouse cursor moves inside of the image preview area it will change into a hand point cursor. Click on the Click to define button to open the Load Image... dialog.

 

5.What you see in the Load Image... dialog depends on the operating system on your computer. You may have to find the NECS Images folder using the Computer directory tool at the top of the dialog.

 

 

6.   Your view options will also be different depending on the operating system of your computer. For older computers running Windows XP or Vista change the view to Thumbnails.

 

Below you see the options for Windows 7 systems. Use one of the icon options to see the images. Now you can easily view the image files to find the desired image to import.

 

Now click and select a file to preview and make a selection for the item.

 

 

6.    Once an image is selected click the OPEN button. You will see the selected image in the image preview area of the Import Image dialog.

 

7.In the Import Image dialog you have the option to edit the Description field here before the image is imported.

 

Enter a Description for the image.

 

Click the OK button to update the image database.

 

 

 

 

8.    You will return to the Select Image... dialog. The newly imported image will already be selected in the images grid and the image will be displayed in the preview area. Click the OK button in the Select Image dialog.

 

 

9.  The newly assigned image is now displayed on the item in the Misc2 tab. Click the Apply button on the Misc2  tab to save the image. Then click the OK button.
