The purpose of this feature is to allow items which are priced "per unit" to be purchased from vendors who use "per pound" pricing (or vice versa). This feature uses either Constant Weight or Average Weight to convert the vendor's "per pound" price to a "per unit" equivalent or a "per unit" price to a "per pound" equivalent.

 

•Select Unit if the real cost entered is the vendor's per unit price.

 

•Select Weight if the real cost entered is the vendor's per pound price.

 

•Successful use of this feature will require that either constant weight or average weight, as defined in the inventory file, be non-zero.

 

If system option 116 is not enabled, the cost factor control will not be displayed.
