Use the lot numbers embedded in the barcode labels when updating inventory in Receiving/Invoicing.

 

Due to the complexity involved in updating entrée documents to account for lot assignments, the posting of the scanned data must be handled through a process in the main entrée application.

 

This means that the posting of scan data back to entrée WILL NOT be done by entrée.UPC when closing out of a document but will only take place when this utility is run in entrée.

 

The process of importing the scan data can be automated so if you take advantage of this capability the effect on the overall scanning process will be minimal.
