Allows a "PC." item to be linked to another "PC." item so that a processed version of the "Make From" item (i.e., a different trim) can be sold directly from the inventory of the "Make From" item.

 

This means that the processed item will never carry any inventory of its own.

 

The "Yield Percentage" normally applied to the "Make From" process does not apply to this variation. Also there is no provision to track any waste or other secondary products that may result from the production of the processed item.

 

The procedures which handle inventory updates for "Make From" items normally operates only on "LB." items.
