entrée System Option #52 allows entry of a single weight value for catchweight items even if the "Track by Weight" feature in the inventory file is enabled. For catchweight items where "Track by Weight" is disabled the system only expects a single, total weight value regardless of how many units are being shipped.

 

This modification causes the Min/Max boundary checks to be made on Total Weight entries as well. It uses limits defined by multiplying the Quantity Shipped times the Minimum and Maximum weights respectively.

 

Normally the entrée system works this way:

•When individual weight values are entered, it checks each entered value against the Minimum and Maximum weight values (if present).  

•When a Total Weight value is entered the Min/Max check is normally bypassed.
