Allow editing of selected Customer Special Prices to be blocked in Create/Change Invoice.

 

Change the "Edit Special Price" dialog in Inventory and Customer File Maintenance to provide the "Lock price in Invoicing" option setting. This setting works in concert with the new "Change 'locked' Special Prices in Invoicing" password option to control when a Customer Special Price may be overridden and by whom.

 

If the price selected by the pricing system for a given item is a Special Price, and if that price is defined as "locked" in File Maintenance, then only someone with the "Change 'locked' Prices" option enabled on their entrée user account will be allowed to alter this price in Create/Change Invoice.

 

To maintain consistency between the way these "locked" items are presented and the way "unlocked" items are presented, when someone is not allowed to override a price the Unit Price field will still be opened during editing of the line item but the value will be presented in a "read only" state.

 

This feature has been implemented in the entrée.DSR application so, in support of that, the "Change 'locked' Special Prices" option setting has been provided on the "Laptop" page of Salesperson Maintenance to take the place of the entrée password option.
