If entrée system option 21 is enabled you will be presented with a prompt to convert pieces to cases.

 

By selecting Yes each item on the invoice will be reviewed, to determine if it is eligible for automatic conversion.

 

•Eligible items are converted automatically with no additional prompts.

 

 

 

•Lot based, Non-Stock, and Non-Inventory items are not eligible for automatic conversion.

 

The following conditions must be met in order for an item to be eligible for automatically converting a piece item to a case.

 

1.The item must have a unit of measure of PC.. (Item information area of Inventory File Maintenance).

2.The item must have a Case Item Number defined. (Inventory tab of Inventory File Maintenance).

3.The item's Pieces per Case value must be one or greater. (Inventory tab of Inventory File Maintenance).

4.The item's Piece => Case Breakpoint value must be less than the Quantity Shipped on the invoice. (Misc1 tab of Inventory File Maintenance).

 

Regardless of the value here the conversion still uses the pieces per case value in Inventory File Maintenance.

 

This feature is not available when working with sales orders or credit memos.
