Enabling this option will change the operation of the Purchasing and Receiving systems to allow items which are priced per unit to be purchased from vendors who use per pound pricing (or vice versa).

 

•Normally entrée requires that items be purchased with the same price structure as the way they are sold. So items that are priced "per unit" must be purchased with "per unit" pricing and the same with "per pound" items.

•This feature uses either Constant Weight or Average Weight to convert the vendor's "per pound" price to a "per unit" equivalent or a "per unit" price to a "per pound" equivalent.

•Successful use of this feature will require that either the constant weight or average weight is defined in Inventory Maintenance.

 

Using this feature requires use of the "in Window" editing mode of the Purchase Order system.
