This section will give a brief overview of each of the columns displayed in the item grid.
This read-only column displays the item number as defined in inventory file maintenance.
This read-only column displays the item description as defined in inventory file maintenance.
This read-only column displays the item's unit of measure as defined in inventory file maintenance.
This read-only column displays the item's real cost as defined in inventory file maintenance.
This column displays the future base cost of the item. The values entered in this column will be saved in the future price file to become effective as of the date entered in the Eff. Date column.
•This column will only be shown only if the Base Cost method was chosen in the future price global list utility.
This column displays the future market cost of the item. The values entered in this column will be saved in the future price file to become effective as of the date entered in the Eff. Date column.
•This column will only be shown if the Market Cost method was chosen when accessing the future price global list utility.
This column displays the future minimum sell price of the item. Setting the minimum selling price can ensure the item will not be sold below cost or that a certain amount of profit over actual cost is maintained.
•If the future minimum sell price is left at 0.00 the minimum sell price as defined in inventory file maintenance will not be overridden when future prices are updated.
This column displays the effective date for the cost and minimum sell price changes to take place in the entrée system.
Future price entries will not automatically be propagated to the inventory file as of the effective date. The Update Future Prices utility must be run to move the future entries to the inventory file.
