The item information area of the inventory file maintenance window has been expanded in version 4 to provide you with more information and images. This is where the primary information about the inventory item is defined.
•NECS recommends defining each field in the item information area for every item including assigning images for class, brand and item.
•The data in the item information area is independent of the tab controls information displayed below.
Dashboards
You will find the dashboards integrated into the Inventory, Customer, Vendor, Salesperson, Brand and Class File Maintenance options. Their main functionality is the ability to summarize large amounts of information and represent it in a cross-tabulated form. you can analyze sales during specific periods (years, quarterly intervals, months, weeks) for each customer, item, vendor, salesperson, brand or class. Also, many of the dashboards include "drill down" features which allow you to see specific information, such as all the line items of a selected invoice.
Gain access to the Inventory Dashboards feature using drop down menu arrow. The Inventory Maintenance Dashboards menu includes these dashboards:
▪Sales
▪Purchases
▪Returns
▪Short Ships
▪Compare Sales by Years
▪Backorders
▪Lot History
For more detailed information about using the Dashboards Feature please review the Using Dashboards chapter of this system guide.
