This field determines whether or not the entrée system maintains lot information for the item each time the product is purchased or sold. When an item is tracked by lot, entrée will maintain key information about each individual lot such as how old the product is, the customers that purchased out of the lot, and the actual purchase cost of the lot.

 

 

If this option is checked the lot information will have to be entered every time the product is received or sold.

 

The Lots tab of inventory file maintenance will only be visible for items that have this option enabled.

 

 

The Lot History Report details the life cycle of each lot.
