The Slotting feature provides the initial phase for slot-based inventory tracking. Located in the Inventory ribbon menu this feature provides tools to manage your warehouse inventory using defined racks, rows, slots and level for each inventory item in various temperature zones and location types.

 

The Slots Tab for the item in Inventory File Maintenance is where you will manage the item's warehouse location assignment.

 

 

•In Inventory File Maintenance for the "Picking" Location Type only use the Slots Tab to select the warehouse location.

 

1.Go to the Inventory ribbon and click the Inventory option.

2.Use the search feature to find the desired item.

3.Click the Slots Tab.

4.Use the Warehouse Location drop down arrow and select the desired "Picking" Warehouse Location IDs created using the Warehouse Section Maintenance utility.  

 

 

5.Click Apply.

6.Once items are assigned a warehouse location the items will be displayed in the Section Dashboard of the Inventory ribbon menu Slotting option Warehouse Section Maintenance utility.
