The bid pricing groups operate in a similar fashion to the special price with the following exceptions.

All calculations of bid pricing are relative to Base Cost.

Effective dates must be defined for the bid price to be used. When entrée validates a bid price the invoice date must fall between the starting and ending date of the bid price to be considered a valid bid price. If the invoice date is valid for both bid price 1 and bid price 2, bid price 1 will be used.

The Customer Special Price Formula is not used when calculating the unit price using the Markup % over Base Cost option.

Price drops are not applied when using the Markup % over Base Cost option.

Bid prices are never updated when cost/price updates are performed in the entrée system.

Unit Price

Use this field to calculate the bid price using a dollar amount over cost method.

If this field appears to be disabled, it is because a Markup % over Base Cost has been defined. To enable the field, set the Markup % over Base Cost value to 0.00.

Markup % over Base Cost

Use this field to calculate the special price using a percent of cost method.

When the Markup % over Base Cost option is used the dollar amount of the bid price is displayed in the Unit Price field, but the value is locked and can only be changed by adjusting the markup % value.

The unit price is calculated using the following formula:

Base Cost * 100 / ( 100 - Markup % )

Starting Date and Ending Date

Use these fields to define the effective dates for the bid price.

The invoice date must fall between these dates for the bid price to be considered valid.
