One of the features of the entrée system is its ability to break and sell piece items from a case items. If this option is enabled, while invoicing, if a shortage is detected in either the PC., QRTR, or HALF item, it will automatically break a case to fill the order.

 

If this option is not enabled, the piece item's on hand quantity will go into a negative state, and will have to be subsequently adjusted manually using either the Physical Adjustments or Inventory Transfers utility.

 

 

•This feature only works with items with a unit of measure set to CASE, PC., HALF, QRTR, and LB.

 

•NECS recommends that you enable this option.

 

Activating this option will disable System Option #14 - "Confirm Cost when there is no stock".
