Enabling this option will round the unit price of each item sold to the nearest penny.

 

•If this option is not enabled the unit price will be extended to 4 decimal places, which may be needed when selling large quantities of meat and dairy products.

•Even if this option is disabled, unit prices may be rounded to 4 decimal places on a per customer basis by enabling the 4-decimal Invoice option from within Customer Maintenance.

 

As of version 4.0.27 this rounding feature is only applied to prices which use a mark-up percentage, so “floating” prices (dollars over cost) are not rounded.

 

If you would like to return to the previous V4 rounding behavior, rounding to be applied to ALL prices, enable the Round 'floating' prices (Sys Opts #29 & #30) option in the Pricing Setup Tab in System Preferences
