The industry code field can be used to define the customer's type of business. For example restaurants could be assigned an industry code of REST and hospitals could be HOSP.

 

•Enter up to 4 characters for the industry code.

 

•The industry code field may contain any combination of characters and numbers, but special characters such as spaces, commas, and dashes should not be used when defining industry codes.

 

•Many of the entrée reports can be grouped, sorted or filtered by customer industry code.

 

•Statements can also be printed by industry code. Some entrée customers may assign the industry code W for customers that receive weekly statements or M for those that receive monthly statements.

 

•Customers can also have special sales tax rules defined by industry code.
