Great care has been taken to provide installation instructions that will help you feel comfortable setting up or upgrading version 3 of the entrée system. The answers to most questions about installing and upgrading the system can be found here. If you can't find the answers to your questions, feel free to contact our Technical Support department.

 

NECS is constantly maintaining and upgrading the entrée system. Our software maintenance customers can visit our website Support page at http://necs.com/support/. Here you will perform the Customer Login to check for and download the latest version of the entrée system software and any add-on modules that your have purchased.

 

•If your entrée CD has Install printed on the right edge contact our Technical Support department to assist you with your entrée system installation.

 

•If your entrée CD has Update printed on the right edge proceed to the entrée V2 to V3 Upgrade Process section.

 

•If you downloaded the entrée version release update software from the NECS website proceed to the File Server Version Release Updates section.

 

•After installing or upgrading entrée on the file server, proceed to the Workstation Installation / Update section. Each of the workstations on your network that will be accessing the entrée software must also be updated.

 

Once you have completed the entrée installation or  entrée version release update, you are ready to Run entrée.

 

FaxMan Printer Driver Installation Removes Duplicate Copies

The update-detection process in version 3.6.7 was updated after finding multiple copies of the "NECS Fax" printer on Vista and Windows 7 computers. To prevent problems, due to multiple software copies,  the installation of the FaxMan printer driver on Vista and Windows 7 systems has been updated so the existing driver is removed completely and then reinstalled with each entrée software update.

 

For those who currently have multiple copies of the "NECS Fax" printer, this process will remove all the duplicate copies of the software and leave you with just one "NECS Fax" printer.
