This option will increase existing "floating" prices by the specified amount. Selecting this option will add the amount specified in the Change by ($) field to the existing float value for the price level. Prices based on a Markup Percentage will not be affected when using this option.

 

Consider the following item, with a current floating value of $3.00 over a cost of $18.00,

resulting in a level price value of $21.00.

 

•If the Change by ($) was set to $2.00, the new float for the item would become $5.00 and the new level price would become $23.00.

•If the Change by ($) was set to -$1.00, the new float for the item would become $2.00 and the new level price would become $20.00.
