Overview Re-Assign Item Number

1.	Enter the item number of the item to re-assign in the CURRENT Inventory No. field. If the inventory number is not known, click the search button to invoke the Inventory Search screen.

2.	Enter the new inventory number for the item in the NEW Inventory No. field.

3.	Click the Go! button.

4.	The Confirm dialog will display click Yes. The Change Inventory Number progress dialog will display as the system updates.

Depending on the size of the data files this operation may take a very long time to complete.

NECS strongly recommends all users are out of the entrée system, when this utility is run. This will ensure the data integrity is not compromised by another user, accessing one or more of the data files while the operation is being performed.
