Editing an existing image allows you to update the graphical data for an image file, while maintaining the current image reference ID. This process allows you to modify the image that is displayed without having to update each of the items or classes that are assigned to the old image file.

 

You can also use the Edit Image utility to change the description of the image that is displayed in the image grid.

 

1.Click the Edit Image button on the Misc2 tab of the desired item.

 

2.The Select Image... dialog box will display. Select the image to be edited in the images grid.

 

3.Click the Edit button, located in the lower left corner of the Select Image... dialog and the Edit Image dialog box opens.

 

4. In the Edit Image dialog you can:

 

Update the Image Type.

 

Change the image Description.

 

Change the image used for the item.

 

5.At the bottom of the Edit Image dialog is the image preview area. When the mouse cursor moves inside of the image preview area it will change into a "hand point" cursor. Clicking inside this region will open the Load Image... dialog, which can be used to find a new image.

 

6.Click the OK button in Edit Image to update the image database with the changes.

 

7.Click the Apply button on the Misc2  tab to save the image. Then click the OK.

 

You can use the Internet Image Search feature by clicking the Search Web button in the "Select Image" dialog box.
