Your “Admin” (System Administrator) has many options available to control the appearance and operation of your entrée.NET website and online catalog. This Administrator’s Guide will provide you with the step by step procedures and templates to make implementation and management of your entrée.NET system a simple task.

 

What’s Next?

1.The first time you login to entrée.NET the setup wizard will prompt you for basic account settings and to upload your company logo. See the entrée.NET Settings chapter for detailed information.

 

2.Set your system options for entrée.NET in the Settings tab. See the entrée.NET Settings chapter for detailed information.

 

3.Create your website email accounts. See the Email Account Settings chapter.

 

4.Export data files -

 

a.Do a manual export of your entrée catalog data to your remote entrée.NET server. See the Data Export / Scheduler chapter for this procedure.

 

b.        Or export files from your accounting system to load entrée.NET with data. Call NECS Tech Support for assistance with this process.  

 

5.Customize your website. You have purchased the website only option. Now you can add news, featured items, featured vendors, and upload your own images. See the Website Settings chapter for detailed information.

 

6.Add specials to entrée.NET - You can add Featured Specials to the Specials web page after updating in entrée or upload a PDF document with your current specials to the Specials link. See the Specials Setup chapter for details on both procedures.

 

7.Use your email account to send your customers and salespeople the link to your new website. See the Email Account Settings chapter for information.

 

entrée Versions

With the release of entrée version 4 SQL in 2014 and the major differences between the menus and screens in both entrée versions 3 and 4 we have included instructions for using both versions of entrée in this guide.

 

To differentiate topics for each major version of entrée you will see color coded entrée V3 or

entrée V4 SQL headers in the impacted topics to direct you to the correct information for your system.

 

entrée.NET Version

The About tab in your entrée.NET system provides you with the version number and information about the modules installed with your software. NECS will also provide you with detailed version update notes in the About tab. With each release you will know what modifications and enhancements have been made to entrée.NET.

entrée.NET Guides

Included with your entrée.NET system is a customized instructional guide for the System Administrator. This guide will answer any questions you and your employees may have in addition to making it easy for you to manage your new online catalog and website.

If you upgrade to the full version of entrée.NET, at a later date, the guides for your customers who order online, salespeople and a full administrator’s guide will be available.

 

The .NET guides are available as PDF files that you can download via the Help tab in entrée.NET or from the NECS website using these instructions.

 

1.  In your browser go to necs.com and click the Support option to access the drop down menu.

2.  Click Customer Login and enter your username and password to access the secure area of the website. In this area release upgrades are posted along with links to other support services and documentation.

3.  In the menu on the far left click the System Guides option.

4.  Select entrée.NET from the list displayed.

5.  The entrée.NET Product Guides list will be displayed select the desired guide.

The guides can easily be read or printed using the free Adobe Reader download.

About the entrée.NET Website Only License

Your entrée.NET system will display menu tabs and features that are grayed out in the Website Only Option. When you click on these tabs the Notice message box below will display "Notice Your license does not support this feature." Click OK to continue.
